General Description & Purpose:
The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Human Resources is a highly engaged strategic position responsible for leading a global human resource function supporting a multi-country, fast-paced sales, distribution, and corporate services organization with over 4,000 employees and $500m in global turnover. Partnering with the CEO and the leadership team, this position leads the on-going development of an exceptional group of highly engaged and motivated talents passionate about the growth of the organization and in support of the Corporate Mission. This position guides the development of the talents, influences the progression of the culture and organizational change while serving as a full business partner.

The successful candidate is an accomplished results-oriented Global Human Resources Executive with proven ability to build and lead a strong business partnering human resource organization. The candidate will initiate and lead the change management as well as special and strategic projects in Human Resources that will enhance a broad understanding of all HR processes and procedures to aid in the successful progression of the domestic and international businesses.

Missions & Activities:
• Supports the global people strategy and associated initiatives aligned with the corporate direction.
• Drives best practice and strategic initiatives across the business encompassing 4,000 employees in the North America, Europe and China
• Leads, coaches and develops the human resource team while supporting multiple US and international locations; responsible for providing both local human resource support and collaboration on a wide variety of strategic human resources initiatives in support of the broader organization.
• Provides executive coaching for senior leaders across the organization through direct feedback and ongoing coaching support with a strong focus on leadership development and the goal of progressing organizational dynamics.
• Provides HR leadership for all M&A activities, including due diligence and integration activities, for newly acquired companies and upcoming acquisition targets.
• Drives a strategic talent management framework which encompasses a variety of activities to attract, identify, develop, and retain critical talent.
• Develops and drives a wide variety of communication and cultural assessment activities across the business, focused on employee engagement and increased communication.
• Leads the communication, engagement and activities related to the Corporate Mission, Vision & Principles
• Proactively aligns compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness, as well as recognition and retention of talent.
• Ensures all human resource functions related to the organization are aligned and in compliance with local, state, and federal governing laws
• Hands-on engagement and support in all areas of human resources and the business

Qualifications & Proficiencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, Psychology or other relevant field
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible HR leadership
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain and commercial industry sectors
• Previous work experience in multi-site, international and matrix reporting organizations
• Expertise and proven success in partnering with the business to drive a wide variety of talent management activities focused on assessing talent, future skill needs and development of our global talent.
• Experience driving positive results on all HR metrics including safety, diversity, and employee engagement
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions
• Training and experience in Change Management
• Proficient knowledge of U.S. employment laws with exposure to employment laws in Canada, Mexico, Europe and China
• Successful design, implementation, and negotiation experience for competitive employee benefit and compensation programs aligned with Company’s strategic goals
• Strong collaborator and business partner – enables and facilitates the needs of the business and identifies proactive solutions to challenging situations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization in addition to external customers.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and HRIS; SuccessFactors preferred
• Office location: Smithfield, Rhode Island
• Position requires the ability to travel both domestic and internationally; minimum of 50%
